These Terms & Conditions explain the terms that apply when you use our website or book a Mount Batur experience with Mount Batur Trekking by Dewa.
1. Booking & Confirmation
Tours and activities can be arranged through WhatsApp or email. An enquiry, price request or availability question does not automatically constitute a confirmed booking.
A booking becomes confirmed only after our team has checked availability and explicitly confirmed the arrangement with you.
Travellers should review the confirmed date, activity, number of participants and pickup information carefully.
2. Traveller Information
Travellers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when making a booking.

- Accommodation details
- Number of participants
- Preferred activity and date
Incorrect or incomplete information may affect pickup, communication or other arrangements.
3. Prices & Payment
Prices shown on our website are stated in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) unless otherwise specified.
Payment is generally made in cash on arrival according to the confirmed booking arrangement.
Additional charges may apply where specifically stated, such as transportation charges for certain pickup locations or entrance fees that are not included in a particular experience.
Travellers should check the details of their selected experience before confirming.
4. Pickup & Transportation
Pickup arrangements depend on the traveller's accommodation, selected experience and operational arrangements for the day.
Ubud area
Pickup from the Ubud area is included for applicable trekking arrangements.
Outside Ubud
Pickup outside Ubud may be available with an additional transportation charge. The amount depends on the hotel or accommodation location.
Travellers should provide accurate accommodation information so the appropriate pickup arrangement can be confirmed.
5. Changes to a Booking
Requests to change a confirmed booking, including the date, number of participants or accommodation, should be made as soon as possible.
Changes are subject to availability and may require a different arrangement depending on the circumstances.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation and refund arrangements depend on the specific circumstances of the booking and services already arranged.
If you need to cancel your activity, please contact us as soon as possible so our team can review the booking and explain the applicable options.
Cancellation requests should not be assumed to qualify for an automatic refund unless this has been confirmed by our team.
7. Weather & Mountain Conditions
Mount Batur is a natural mountain environment. Weather, visibility, rain, wind, cloud and other conditions can affect the experience.
We cannot guarantee clear weather, sunrise visibility or a particular mountain view.
When conditions affect the safety or practical operation of an activity, our team may need to adjust the arrangements.
8. Trekking & Physical Activity
Mount Batur trekking involves walking on uneven and sometimes steep mountain terrain. Travellers should consider their own physical condition and ability before participating.
The physical demands of trekking can vary according to weather, trail conditions and individual fitness.
Travellers should inform our team before the activity if there is information relevant to their ability to participate safely.
9. Jeep Experiences
The Mount Batur Jeep Tour is a vehicle-based experience and does not require travellers to complete the uphill trekking route.
Jeep arrangements, routes and timing may depend on local conditions and operational circumstances on the day.
Travellers should follow the instructions of the local team and remain within the areas designated for the experience.
10. Traveller Responsibilities
Travellers are expected to behave respectfully toward guides, drivers, local communities, other travellers and the natural environment.
- Follow reasonable instructions from the local team.
- Respect local customs and communities.
- Do not litter or intentionally damage the environment.
- Do not participate while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
- Take reasonable care of personal belongings.
11. Personal Belongings
Travellers are responsible for their personal belongings during the activity.
Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuables and keep important personal items secure throughout the experience.
12. Travel Insurance
We recommend that travellers arrange appropriate travel insurance before participating in trekking or other outdoor activities.
Travellers should consider coverage appropriate to their own circumstances, including medical expenses, travel disruption and outdoor activities.
13. Force Majeure
Circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect or prevent an activity from operating as planned. These may include severe weather, natural events, government restrictions, road conditions, local regulations or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where such circumstances occur, we will communicate with the traveller and discuss the practical options available for the booking.
14. Local Regulations & Instructions
Travellers must comply with applicable local regulations and reasonable instructions from guides, drivers and other local service providers during the activity.
Local conditions or regulations may occasionally require changes to the planned arrangements.
